Well, I am kinda "on the same page" with my Mama regarding power nozzles. When she got her new Electrolux tan G in 1968, I was grumbling that she didn't get the power nozzle. She said, "I don't want to be dragging two motors around the house when I'm using the sweeper!"
When I vacuum carpeting, I prefer using an upright. But in my current place, that's almost a moot point: The only carpeting we have is in the hallway and in Arlee's bedroom. The rest of the house, including the kitchen but except for the bathroom, is hardwood floors. The bathroom has large ceramic tiles in the floor and bathtub walls.
And of power nozzles, the only ones I've used on any sort of regular basis are Electrolux.
Of them, in terms of performance I like the one that came with my lovely Grand Marquise the best. Its L-shape and light weight make it easy to maneuver around, especially in tight spaces.
In terms of appearance, it's the PN1. I love its retro design and, of course, I remember seeing MANY of them in my youth.
