Mine is the one that came with the Rainbow SE or those early 90's Panasonic PN's. Lot of power in those!

PS: Kudos to ben for inspiration for this topic!

VW

That would be my Oreck Dutch Tech power nozzle. It is a Wessel Work, and it is super quiet, LED lights, and you can REALLY feel it deep clean with you use it.

My favorite PN.....

Tristar for an older style for sure.

But for new, I am going with hands down, Dyson motorhead.

I didn't mention a vintage one, I suppose I should. It would either be a Hoover Quadraflex Powermatic or, agreed with Brandon, I Tri Star power nozzle. But the DXL one with the geared belt.

I have to agree with Ben

I had a couple of Eureka canisters with the Roto-matic power nozzle, as well as a Rainbow D2 with the rebadged Eureka PN. A great PN. Second would be the PN for my Filter Queen Princess II.

My favourite PN is the one I got with my Tristar, modified with a 4-row VGII brushroll and fitted with VGIII brush strips to make it one heck of a PN... :)

I did like using my Eureka Rotomatic PN though, but the casing split and it's not useable any more, I'll have to have at it with glue and bracing at some point, but for now it's not much good... :(

(not to mention it's lacking brush strips which I put into one of my Hoover Juniors)

No CONTEST!!

Electrolux PN-2 I dont usually like many power nozzles, im a straight suction person, but the PN-2 to me is the best!

The new power nozzle that comes with the Miele Callisto seems to be providing the best deep carpet cleaning results ever provided by a Miele canister - according to the latest Consumer Reports testing. It merited an "excellent" rating for cleaning of medium pile carpets, and pushed the Callisto to second place position in a ranking of over 20 canisters. It's an odd looking power nozzle - and has no headlight (see link below).

At the same time, the new Electrolux power nozzle with the LED lights is not doing that well in Consumer Reports testing. It's only getting a "good" rating - which is a downgrade for Electrolux canisters. The older orange power nozzle with the transparent brush roll cover provided far better ("excellent") carpet cleaning performance which is why the old 6988 Oxygen Power Team is still ranked better than any of the newer Electrolux power nozzle canisters, including that beautiful UltraOne. On the other hand, the UltraOne provides the best "airflow" through the hose for tool use of all Electrolux canisters!

I'd have to go with Hoover Quadraflex and Eureka Roto-Matic. Kenmore has always been my favorite brand but for some reason the Eureka Roto and Express power nozzles always stood out to me, as well as Hoover.

<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">Well, I am kinda "on the same page" with my Mama regarding power nozzles. When she got her new Electrolux tan G in 1968, I was grumbling that she didn't get the power nozzle. She said, "I don't want to be dragging two motors around the house when I'm using the sweeper!"</span>

<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">When I vacuum carpeting, I prefer using an upright. But in my current place, that's almost a moot point: The only carpeting we have is in the hallway and in Arlee's bedroom. The rest of the house, including the kitchen but except for the bathroom, is hardwood floors. The bathroom has large ceramic tiles in the floor and bathtub walls.</span>

<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">And of power nozzles, the only ones I've used on any sort of regular basis are Electrolux.</span>

<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">Of them, in terms of performance I like the one that came with my lovely Grand Marquise the best. Its L-shape and light weight make it easy to maneuver around, especially in tight spaces.</span>

<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">In terms of appearance, it's the PN1. I love its retro design and, of course, I remember seeing MANY of them in my youth.</span>
