So, I was very luckily able to get my hands on a fantom fury for a very reasonable price recently and I've been doing some cleaning on it. Foxed the clog, replaced the best, cleaned around in there some, you know what I mean. I did notice that it seems to run kinda hotter than I feel exactly comfortable with. I can confirm there are no more clogs. Taking the hepa filter off seems help. The exhaust air isn't as hot, and the extra heat in the caseing isn't so wide spread. But the immediate area where the motor is is still questionably warm. Any ideas as to what's up with that? Any known issues to fantoms with over heating?

They do run warm

As a precaution take the motor and clean the fan vanes with a pipe cleaner. Make sure the lint clean out is clean.

Thanks you for the information, I'm not sure I'm quite ready to fully take it apart yet (confidence wise!) but I'm sure I'll end up doing that before really using it. Afterall, I want it live a ling and healthy life!
