Hi Mark! I was joking in a friendly way.. I’m sorry about the Koolaid comment, I’d never disrespect a fellow vacuumland.org friend, especially not as nice a guy as you Mark. I hope the Lol’s showed my goofy fun attitude, but text is SO easily interpreted with different meanings.. so my apologies if I seemed more Bitchy than humorous. Hugs my friend!

Hey Mike.. excellent canister (cylinder) vacuums! I Love my Miele Upright and my Sebo Felix.. I just haven’t fallen in love with Cylinder vacuums the way Uprights peak my interest. I do have four and I’d Love to own the Sebo Airbelt D or E! I also one day will probably give in and buy a Miele Complete C3 Brilliant Powerline! Anyhow, Mike.. am I seeing correctly in your picture, you have a Sebo ET-1 Powerhead Brushroll on your Miele? Are the power connections universal between the two, or do you have a way around it?

Also, I agree that batteries are kicking butt now! I have a really nice push mower that always amazes me with its power and excellent cutting. I have the same brand Snow Blower too and so between the two devices, I have four batteries. The funny thing is I never require more than one battery per use unless I’ve not mowed and let it get overgrown or the snows super deep. Love the new cordless!

Maybe in 20 years, when they REALLY develop the battery technology so it lasts 60 minutes on Max mode, then I will be convinced. Until then, the Dyson V10 still has too many disadvantages to make me want to use it in my home. Particularly the powerhead....I don't like that V8 style powerhead, & the only way they will convince me is if they develop a powerhead with a traditional brushroll, like Shark has done with their cordless vacuums.

Call me old fashioned, but I will NEVER give up my corded, bagged canister vacuums! My Electrolux, Riccar & Simplicity canisters will easily outclean this Diesoon with ease :P

Mikko - Good taste in canister vacuums! And good idea to pair the Miele with the Sebo powerhead :-)

Rob

Haha not at all Patrick 😊

The Miele uses a 35mm and Sebo I think is 36.5mm for some reason. Mike purchased an adapter.

I also use the ET1 with my Miele C3 and Central vac. It's a very good power nozzle.

It will be a lot sooner than 20 years Rob.

4 years we will be seeing graphene batteries. They have already tested them in the lab.

When this happens corded cleaners will have had their day for the vast majority of people. There will still be a niche market of course.

Glad to hear it Mark! 🤗 I’m relieved as my sarcasm is sometimes bordering on rude if you didn’t know me or my personality. You really are a very polite, kind person Mark.

I love that power brushroll too, correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s the same powered brushroll on the Sebo Felix.. and I Love my Felix! I bought the soft bristle brushroll for my delicate area rugs and it deep cleans so well.

I'm the same. I have a cheeky sense of humour 😁

Yes it's the same power head as the Felix.

The one upright I'd like above all others is the Vorwerk Kobold. That is an impressive cleaner.

There was a guy selling a new one on eBay a few months back. Said he would except £380 for it. Wish I'd bought it now 😟

@vacfan1982

Hey question Mark,

Did your lab guy tell you if the fast charging graphene batteries will be compatible with the wireless charging method too?

I love the idea of placing my Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner in the closet, on top of its cool looking Charging Pad.. and Voila! It’s ready every time you get it out to use it. Or side by side my Canister, Upright and Handheld all charging wirelessly!

It excites me to see how far Batteries have come and the general technology from years ago. I’ll be 50 years old this April and it’s been fun watching technology and in particular Dyson now, leading the way with new things we only dreamt of in the past!

My Total Dream Vacuum... the Vorwerk Kobold!! I’ve lusted for a Vorwerk for years now! But they are not manufactured or sold specifically for USA 120 volts... correct? Only 220 Volt countries?

@mike811

Wow fascinating video, I had no idea that much work went into the process.

So Mike, may I ask why you did this? Do you not like the Miele powered brushrolls that are available or do you just prefer the Sebo? Just curious and also wondering, do you use a Sebo powered brushroll on your Sebo Cylinder Vacuum too?

Thanks for sharing!

My Miele C3 was originally the straight suction model. So it didn't have any capabilities to take even the Miele powerhead. It would have been the same process to make the connectors to the Miele powerhead.
I already had the Sebo Felix so I naturally used the Felix powerhead. I use the same powerhead in my Felix, Miele C3 and Sebo K1. Actually Sebo powerhead fits to all of my canister vacuum cleaners what have with the powerhead wiring.

I just love the Sebo ET1 ph. I have never used the full size Miele ph :)

Hooverlux is very nice guy :) His video was hilarious :D

V10 can probably easily match the Light Ball. I even might buy the Light Ball in some stage. I would want to when I get the money :)

Watched the "johnny" video-At least he shows the vacuum in actual use.Not too bad-but not clear as to the run times on the power modes.BUT-lets face It this is still a "kitchen crumb" vacuum,Doormat vacuum or broom vacuum.It would do well for those jobs but NOT for cleaning the whole house-It would take longer than its run time for sure with the tiny powernozzles.Be good for places your full size vacuum can't reach.The 500W 100,000 rpm motor is a concern-how long will this last as compared to motors that run slower.And in the link watched a video of this machine taken apart on "whats Inside" this is a good little video you can see inside this Dyson machine without taking your own apart.and for once they took it apart in a way they could put it back together and still work.The machine was provided for the "Whats Inside" video.And they show the vacuum picking up various debris.Don't think this vacuum will replace my simplicity Cordless Freedom uprights.
