Alex you can give it a try again from your desktop. I figured out that usersnames with hyphens in them were not uploading the pictures properly such as Super-sweeper, Floor-a-matic, Bee-vac, etc. I fixed that or so I think. Please give it a try again.
For the small minority of users who are having problems uploading pictures using the new Add Photos Here box I've added back the old jpeg photo upload old system until I get all the details ironed out. If you look down below the add photos here box you should see "If the new photo upload box does not work with your browser you can use the original photo system:" and the old button to select one file. I'll remove that after everything else is properly working.

I can report that even here in deepest darkest Africa the system is working great so far.
Its also great for the rebuild threads I am busy with as you can batch the photo's.

Thanks for that fix, here goes my 4th or so test at images! Many images are still in the JPEG format, why do away with it?
Well, The image comes up with the new handy old-style image uploading tool, but I'm currently on the little-known browser of Opera, which I run on my old and faithful XP machine, the one I type from now! I get a "File extension error" followed by the file's name from here, I'll have to try it later on the tablet and windows 7. Thanks!
PS-Attempting to get a scanner working from this computer, The I can upload the boat-load of old advertisements I have sitting next to me!

Perhaps you already can and I missed it, but is there a way to upload pictures from your phone to VL? It would be great if there was as I don't always have access to my PC and would like to be able to upload pictures directly from my phone.

I Can upload fine from my phone, hit the add file button and the android file system takes over. Surely symbian or windows mobile should do the same?
Its a shame I can't select multiple files but I think that's an android thing rather than the new funtionality.

Hi Jamie, I'm confused as you say it works great from your phone, but then in your next sentence you ask is the way to upload from your phone. Do you mean a different phone?
Sam you are correct, it depends on the phone's operating system whether it will let you select multiple files or not. You can on the latest version of the iPhone's operating system.

It depends on the phone, Jamie what phone are you using? They upload beautifully from my iPhone. When you say you can't upload them do you mean just in the new 'Add Photos Here' box or you've never been able to upload pictures via your phone, even using the old single photo upload button?

I'm using a Nokia Lumia 520 (not sure if you have that in America) running Windows Phone 8 and I can't upload pictures using either of the options above.

I've noticed a bug!
I was reading a thread from 2009, and accidentally clicked on a user profile of a contributor to said thread. It said they joined 12/12/2011!
It's either there's a bug, or time travel IS possible! (In the event option #2 is correct, somebody send me to 1961 with a Montgomery Ward charge-card and enough cash for a new DeSoto!

Some photos uploaded recently do not have a "Full Size" option, unless I upload multiple pictures. I'm wondering if you could correct that?
Here's a test picture for proof.
What I mean is, if I upload one picture only, it will not have a "Full Size" option, but if I upload multiple pictures, the option will appear.

Thanks Ben, I will look into that when I get some free time.
Thanks again Ben, I fixed that. I never noticed that before. Please note that if you don't see the "View Full Size" check-box on an image it means that the picture is smaller and already being shown at full size.
