Here is a cool vacuum I got a long while back. It's a Montgomery Ward rebadged Eureka upright. I have not been able to find any information on it and I'd like some help with it. If any one has one like it please post pictures because I thing they look really cool with the color scheme. I have seen pictures of the canister version with the same colors though but that's the closest thing I've seen. :)

That vacuum is so cool!!

It's like from slightly alternate universe, or a knock off from the USSR circa early 60's.
I have never seen anything like it, a truely fantastic find, congradulations.

Thanks!

I got it at the habitat for humanity for $10.00 in Oregon. I actually sold it to a guy a while back and then realized I few days later what a mistake I made. Then yesterday I got it back from him by trade of a Hoover fry pan. :) :) :) I'm super glad I got it back!

Its basically

A 250 Eureka, made from about 1950-54 ,in 55 the 255 which was candy apple red came out, what makes these outperform many new mahines, is the Disturbulator brushroll which in my opinion has never been equaled.

I can not believe there is not one scratch on the hood. Those Eurekas were notorious for getting scratched when the user tried to push it under a bed frame or any other short gap under furniture. I wonder if this beauty was repainted or was NIB and never used....

Stunning....:-)

What a beautiful old vacuum! Looks like this had been stored away for years NIB, one would think. Sries, I am glad you were able to get the vacuum back once you realized your mistake. I think that would be a keeper FOR SURE in any collection.

Thank you for the compliments

When I got it it was covered in dust. At first when I saw it at the thrift store it looked like it was a Hoover convertible. :) Then when I got closer I realized it was a eureka upright. After I got it home and got all the dirt off I saw that it was rebadged! I haven't even polished it yet. :)
