That Eureka Power Team is from the early 1980's. Based on a very successful design that debuted in 1973. The canister itself debuted a year or two before that and was marketed as the Sweet Sixteen because it had model numbers in the 1600 series (1640, 1660, 1680, etc)

Wonderful machines!
I have the same machine. Mine was $3 at a yard sale.
They are a deep forest green. Model number 1784B. I love the sound of mine. I think the hose is 8' long. It's not a crush proof, but I'd call it crush resistant. It can be completed twisted off and then reflexed into the shape. But over time weak points and crushed areas may form near where hose enters canister. It's recommended not to store any canister with hose attached to wands.
HEPA bags are not available for the bags, but you can glue the Type B cardboard collar onto a Kenmore Q or O bag and use that. Just do some trimming to the Kenmore cardboard so it doesn't interfere with inlet size or attaching to compartment in the Eureka.

My only criticism of this product is the uncomfortable hose handle. The first Eureka Power Teams had a larger rubberized hose handle that covered most of the chrome tube, which also placed the electrical plug safely away from your hand and closer to the very end of the handle.
With this later design, it seems that there is really no comfortable way of holding the hose: hold it farther up on the rubber part and it feels uncomfortable and dangerously close to the plug. Hold it on the chrome part and it still is uncomfortable because you also have your hand on the cord.
I guess this is why Eureka brought out its "gas pump" handle very soon after with the Express cleaner - so much more comfortable to use!

I think it's mid to late 80's. The entry level ones from the 70's were gold and orange. Model 1620 and up. Then the 1200 series came along in about 1978 in Brandywine (1279) with canned ham shaped 1289 also. Green came following grey, and a royal blue, along with the longer handle. 1700 series were brown, green, then a burnt orange with electronic speed control on the quiet clean models through 1989 when the plastic Express model came out.
