I know there are people who make replacement replica bags for vintage Hoover upright vacuums--is there anyone who makes them for vintage Eureka uprights? (1950s-1980s)
Nick

people only make replica bags for pre war cleaners. vinyl and pad printing to make text and logoes is costly. no collectors make replica bags for any cleaners for that era.

I'm wondering

I'm wondering how hard it would be for someone who can sew to make fabric replicas of the vinyl bags, especially since Eureka offered some fabric bags on the 260, and some of the 1970s machines. It seems like a lot of their patterns would look really good in fabric.

If one was creative you can buy sheets of vinyl (PVC canvas?), and find a roller that punches/slices perforated holes into whatever material you have, and make your own bags. Then create replica decals (Waterslide?) and seal them with clear sealant spray. Some bags had a little cotton liner as well glued inside.

Nick,

Maybe you've stumbled on a small business opportunity!

You may want to check with a tent and awning retail & repair store about making a bag for you. I did so once with an unrelated item when I needed heavy-duty stitching.

I was thinking:

Shoe cobbler

Upholstery shop

Auto custom upholstery shop

Seamstress

Someone who takes in clothes for ironing and offers sewing for repairs

If Les sees this,I've heard him speak of someone here who makes bags for Kirbys, don't know if he does other brands bags but could be a source.

A business who makes custom curtain/drapery for specific sizes to suit .
