I believe one of these M262s surfaced in Saint Louis, it was brown not burgundy. I wish I had the pic

Very nice, this looked like a D272 but matte brown. I heard a collector picked it up.

The one in the 1st photo reminds me of a Kirby 500 Series cleaner, and the color of the second one brings to mind Eureka's 1978 brandywine series cleaners.

The Eureka model M is a wonderful vacuum that looks very much like the Kirby 2C-505 I agree.
