Nice find! Even though it’s missing the original plaid bag, it has a genuine Eureka replacement bag. I can look to see if I have an original outer bag. These ESP models definitely have more suction and what I do with mine is set the carpet adjustment on a higher setting. I’m with you that the 1400 series Eurekas are easier to push. Looks like we’re neighbors btw. I live in the Garner area.

My great aunt had one before, though it's outer bag bag got replaced at some point. When she passed, I wanted to take it home with me but for whatever reason someone already got rid of it.

That's what my research indicates, too. Btw, the model-type 2061-A was one of the first Type As to be equipped with the 6.5-amp motor that succeeded the 6.0-amp one.
