LOL, I hope not like the Vibra beat! I have one for my Roto Matic and it is very loud! Not to mention that it doesn't clean well at all.

Is like a High Pitched Whistle....almost as annoying as the Vibra BEAT...
I remember that because my aunt had the JC Penny model and was so tight that she emptied the bags by hand (yes, I am talking about the paper bags) and the vacuum always had this whistling noise unless she finally put a new paper bag in the machine.
She bought a special pair of tweezers to help her pull the dirt out of the bag.... I will never be rich....LOL

Small off white Eureka
Both of the smaller canisters are Eureka Princess models or the equivilant of with another company name. The off white is the model sold by JC Penny. Penncrest was the name JC Penny used at that time. The Viking model and the Penncrest both have the same motor wattage and both clean equally as well.
The Penncrest model has a cord winder and what I would call the basic set of tools including the Vibra Beat. The Viking however has the deluxe set of tools, horse hair square dusting brust, better upholstery tool and the bare floor brush also has the horse hair bristles. The hoses are identical on both.
I have no reason to beleive the cord has been changed on the Viking as I beleive it was never used, but the cord is black as compared to most Eureka's similar using the cream colored cord. Perhaps Clay or someone out there will know that answer to that question.
Both take Style H bags and use the little filter discs. Also, they both have the vent on the bottom of the machine that you can open and close to use the blower port on the back of the machine under the lid latch. So when you use the blower the bag compartment is actually open so that you have the strongest air movement for blowing.

Morgan, that's a beautiful collection. I love the older, brown upright! I never saw too many older Eurekas, just Hoovers around here mostly.
There's a vac shop very near me that has an older upright like your blue & chrome model but with a white hood - for sale on the shelf!
