The Model # 8285 A

The Serial # 32439649

Amps 12.0

Volts 120AC

Made in Bloomington Illinois

Question:

Can someone please give me info related to this model. I'm looking for the year it was made, and if it is worth anything of value.

Don't the later 80s early 90s eureka date code their serial number? Like the first 2 numbers?
If you have the power nozzle the motor will be dated if it's original and sometimes the power nozzle base will have a year stamp in the casing.

The first Express canister from Eureka launched, I believe, in mid to late 1980's. It was their first all-plastic canister, making it significantly cheaper to build than their all-steel "ironsides" models. I think all Express models used the cheaper single-stage motor. Type V bag, I believe. The Power Nozzle was redesigned for that series. I remember them being Eureka's answer to the Hoover Dimension. And interestingly, cost about the same as the Hoover at retail.

I've had a few Expresses over the years

I also had a Powerline, which replaced the express line. Decent canisters but the earlier Ironsides and Rotomatic models had more powerful and longer lasting motors.
