Electrolux XII-A Cord

All, I have attached some pictures of the cord end on my Lux XII-A, which is unlike any I have ever seen.
I am curious about whether or not this is the original cord end for the machine? It is very small and round, with no markings besides a small design. For reference, the last picture is of my model XII cord (I am also unsure of its originality). It seems newer than the one on the XII-A, and is a very generic looking rectangle plug.

Does anyone have some insight on this matter?

Looks like an old generic lamp plug. Perhaps somebody just replaced the plug once upon a time. However, I'm unsure of the vintage of the machine, so I'm just shooting in the dark. Also, from the pictures, the cord looks shiny, like a modern polymer 'rubber' rather than a more old fashioned rubber type cord.
