In case anyone else is interested, I just learned from Aerus that the machines with the LX suffix (Ultralux LX/model 1521, Diplomat LX/model 1677, Genesis LX/model 1685, and Genesis LXe/model 1717) were manufactured in and around the 60th anniversary year (1984).

For those not familiar with Electrolux USA, the list does not include the model LX or LXI which were manufactured from 1952 to 1955.

Sorry but that's way out. In 1984 the US had the Silverado out and Canada had the E2000 out. The Diplomat LX, Genesis LX etc machines were produced in 1992-1993. The suffix LX had nothing to do with the Roman numeral 60. It denoted that the machines now came with the lighted power nozzle. The e on the Genesis LXe meant that it came with the electric hose for the sidekick.

Thanks for the information [blushing]. I thought I'd get accurate information from "the source". Aerus's motto when it comes to historical data must be "take a guess if you don't know, but don't tell them it's a guess."

Collector 2

On your site you had CB 2000 1985-1987. They sold clear up to 1998 and the amps went from 8 to the 9 Amp "HP" motor.

Hey John

That model of C2000 was only from 85-87, From 87-89 it was grey with Taupe, From 90 - 98 they Had the Blueish Grey Prolux version. There was also had thetwo tone grey CB2000 from 82-85. I don't lump all the different versions of one machine under one generic picture. It totally confuses the issue. If you look at the bottom of that page the other versions are listed under the ones I am looking for.

Quite - thanks for visiting the page. And one never learns anything if one doesn't question. LOL I've had to ask ALOT of questions here.

I've never heard of a C2000 before--only the CB2000. Were they different colors or have different features?

I happened to notice that the name suffixes--such as LX, LXe, II, and III--were labeled in red characters which were superimposed on a gold or silver coronet graphic next to the cleaners' names. All are from the early '90s and include:

1521/Ultralux LX
1623/Ambassador II
1676/Ambassador III
1677/Diplomat LX
1685/Genesis LX
1717/Genesis LXe
C101A, ... G, ... H, ... J/Ambassador III

Just something that I thought an Electrolux collector or fan of that era might be interested to know.
