Today I received a pack of filters I ordered from eBay for my Electrolux Tango, but there are two questions/problems I have.

First of, is that there is four white filters and two black ones (both the same size), why is that ?

Second, is that when fitted, they are half a centimeter too short on each side so they don't slot in properly...

It says on the packet "Tango" amongst other models and they are Genuine Electrolux, so I don't understand it...

That is because they are for the old Tango, which is the 1800lite type. Do you recall the discussions about the 2 versions of the Tango when you got yours?

No, I can't remember that, but I'm not surprised as I can't remember what I did 2 hours ago (seriously).

I just assumed at the time there wasn't more than one Tango so I went for the first filter set I saw with the name Tango in the list.

I'll keep them, as I may buy an older Tango at some point, but for now I'll need to buy some more (correct) filters.

Thanks for the prompt response, as always!

Oh, but I have another question. On the cleaner it says "4-Stage Filtration", but when I think about it it is only 3 Stage:

Bag - 1
Pre-Motor filter - 2
Exhaust filter - 3

The only way it would be 4 Stage is if it had two Pre-Motor filters, which I don't believe it did...

Electrolux

Some of the older uprights ("616" and "Contour" spring to mind) had the following filtration:

1 x paper bag
2 x white pre-motor synthetic filters
1 x black (616) or white (Contour) exhaust synthetic filter.
