Hello!

I recently acquired an Electrolux Model G that works great and is in great shape. There is just one small issue, when I attach the hose the automatic system kicks in and the front plate kicks down. I have already cleaned everything and replaced some of the tubing with no change. If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated

Stephen, when you say you replaced the "tubing", are you referring to the clear tubing inside the bag door that hooks up to the control valve? If you haven't opened up the bag door and checked that tubing, do so now. Also, try running a small twist tie through the control valve openings, it may be possible there is a blockage inside it that needs to be cleared. I would also suggest finding some YouTube videos showing the bag door taken apart on a Model G to see how the tubing is correctly hooked up.

That is correct, replaced the tubing and ran a twist tie through all the openings. Cleaned all the rubber pieces and made sure they are not cracking. The vacuum only has issues when I attach the hose.
