Electrolux Model E_A or F Brochure - Reconditioned by Metropolitan and sold by Montgomery Ward

I had no idea that Montgomery Ward sold any classic USA Electrolux tanks. Take a look at this 1980s brochure (based on the 1982-95 Montgomery Ward logo*, MasterCard name—1979 to current**, and presenter's appearance). Is it a Model E_A with an F stabilizer or an F with E_A wheels? Considering that the Model E_A's manufacture was 1956-57 and the F's was 1957-60 speaks to Electrolux Corp's product longevity and USA craftsmanship in either case.

The irony is that Metropolitan supplied single ply bags with those rebuilt machines, which clogged so quickly the 'powerbrush' would have stopped turning within moments. Also ironic, the $99 price is the same as what the machine cost brand new. Metropolitan didn't do a great job of rebuilding the machines anyway and they always stunk of the cheap paint that was used.

Never liked the metropolitan rebuilds

Didn’t care for the cheap attachments they used. My favorite thing about Electrolux’s has always been the two combination tools...I just love them...so convenient...In fact I’ve equipped a little yellow Kenmore (made by LG) canister I got with no attachments except the hose with Electrolux aluminum wands, flip over rug and floor tool and combination dusting brush/upholstery tool and that has upgraded it to become a very nice little straight suction canister that is easy and fun to use and likely nicer than it was with the original LG made attachments! It even has a built in cordwinder! Perhaps I should nickname it the Kenolux or Electromore, but I just like to call it my Kenmore/Electrolux hybrid!

Those early turbo nozzles from metropolitan were useless, stopped at the slightest resistance or went very slowly at best.
