Central vac recomendations

I am looking for some ideas on what central vacuum for setup you would suggest for a 250 square meter (2700 square foot) new build. That is excluding the 5.5 x 5.5 meter (18x 18 foot) vacuum area in the attic and the 6x6 (20 x 20 foot) meter courtyard. I would like an md sv or g23 equivalant for the unit and a fully setup and maxed out pipe network. What little ideas and suggestions do you have?

Any 240 volt three stage or dual motor 2 stage unit rated for 5.000 to 8,000 square feet. I have no idea what is available in N.Z. Plan for a minimum of wall inlets for bets efficiency. An unfiltered cyclonic is nice, if you can install it in a garage or exhaust it into the courtyard or from another exterior wall. Ours is a Vacuflo 466Q, and it does not exhaust any noticeable dust into the garage from the muffler end. It's very strong, and rated to 5,000 sq. ft. but it's 120 volts @13 amps. The 566Q is for up to 8,000. They make a dual motor, and at least a couple 240 volt units, bagged as well, and filtered cyclonic bagless ones.
I do believe that the pcb boards and 24 volt transformers are all rated to 240 volts, so I don't see why a 120 volt unit can't use 2220-240 V. It would also draw fewer amps with 220-240 v.

I don't think it's ideal to have a TOL dual motor unit in that size of a house. There's a reason why there are other models built from MD that are recommended for smaller sized homes. In fact if I had a house that size, it'd be WAY too much for me to handle a TOL dual motor unit. Not only it'd be too powerful but also it'd draw so much energy. That's why I'd rather keep it simple and get a single motor unit instead like the F650t. The M715h is about as far as I'd be willing to go for because those 8.4 motors are incredibly powerful.

True, but NZ power grid is 230 volts.

There are also 240 volt single motor units available from MD, actually that would be more ideal to have for a newly constructed home.

Well, I was thinking a premier clean 950 for a basic setup, or a kiwivac kb4t for if I went all out. going allout would mean retractable hoses ( 1x 50 foot and 2x 40 foot), basic inlets, 2 vac pans, a vroom, a port to attach a 2 inch hose in the garage or have it capped of, a large array of vacuum inlets and stuff in the vacuum area. You get the idea. In new zealand a small home is usually less than 80 square meters (750 square feet), a medium house is about 150 square meters ( 1600 square feet) and a large house is around 250 square meters (2700 square feet) or more. This means that a home of this size would be recomended for a medium-large unit. This may seem like overkill and for the most part it is, although some of it could be trimmed off. Our best options for units in nz are Premier Clean, Cyclovac and Kiwivac.

Retractable hoses are nice, not an easy install in existing homes though. More wallboard and or stud cutting and patching. They also can only use air driven or a battery carpet power head, so if you have much carpeting, you may want to oversize the unit to be sure it can drive that turbo brush.

Yes, KiwiVac purchases all their central vacuum products from MD Manufacturing and builds their own units right there in New Zealand. Campbell has recently purchased the company from William DeBrower but he has been in the business for quite a while. By importing only parts, they are able to bring them in under a lower tariff and they've got the construction down to a science. KiwiVac certainly will not offer all the same motor configurations as MD so I suggest that you contact him directly to determine what might be best for your application..... and I definatly suggest using the Hide-a-Hose! You are correct that the G23 would be a complete overkill!!

I have thought about it, I will need a couple big 2 inch hoses with a high enough airspeed to suck up screws. Maybe even a wallyflex and a hide-a-hose at the same time. This has lead me to decide upon a tellus dual motor unit with 3x122559s in parralel. Or something like that.
