Depends on the condition. That one is a worthy collecting vac because it was a new design and radically different than the ones before. I don't think any vacuum is worth a fortune but some can fetch more than others.

Sounds good to me. Do you want to sell it? What price were you going to put on it. A lot of people sell thier vacs on Ebay and Craigslist. You should be able to get something for that if it works. I've seen Electrolux vacuums sell for $300 on Ebay if they are in good condition.

I would be interested if I had any spare money. However, if I were you I'd take pics and put it up for sale on ebay. Also, create another thread and state you wish to sell it here. Someone might make you an offer.

This is a good vac for seller and potential buyer to agree on a price.However highest prices do tend to go to examples with original box,instructions,correct color hose,etc.I use this and older Luxes daily that still work great.Good luck to all as it finds a new home to clean.

I have to agree with Jimmy (rugsucker) on this one. If you go to eBay and search for "Electrolux 1205" you will see the vacuums selling anywhere from $18.00 to approx $50.00, just depends on attachments, power nozzle, etc. I have a 1205 that I gave $100 for but it is in its original box, all paperwork, owners manual, all attachments still wrapped in plastic, unit looks like it was barely ever turned on, etc.
Not trying to discourage you here, but most of us as collectors won't pay a premium price for a vacuum cleaner, especially one as common as a 1205 unless its in excellent condition, original box/paperwork etc. I hope that helps you some. Thanks!

A good hose can have a $50 value.There can also be a difference of looks good and performs well.The brown hose shown is about 1982.If it is airtight and has good electrical contact for power nozzle it will be a plus on this Elux.To test hose-Put clean bag in vac,turn on and feel suction at door,then add hose and feel suction again at end of hose.Should be same but with time and wear can lose suction.Then connect power nozzle and see if it runs without hesitating as hose is flexed back and forth including at ends.As above this can be a commonly found vac because it was a good and popular model.And should continue to be good in a new home.Again,best wishes to seller and buyer.

Nozzle in back is not Electrolux.
It goes to a Compact! Aside from that everything looks original. I have a 1205, or I'd grab it in a heartbeat. This model is very special to me, because it's the first ones I ever sold. I'm not that fond of Electrolux after the LX, but the G, and the 1205, those were great machines. Here's a look at my 1205, plus a lot of others. The one on the bottom speaks for itself, a cut-out of how the model LXI ejector works.

I've got one that I picked up at Goodwill for $20 with a full set of accessories. The handle on the hose was cracked, but I eventually found a good replacement. It was my primary vac until I found my Kirby G-Six out by the dumpster.
Just a suggestion--if you can't sell it, why not donate it to Goodwill or some other thrift store instead of throwing it away. Somebody will be glad to get it.

Clearly jd1234 only wants to make 'bank' and does not care about anything else. He does not understand anything about value verses worth. Since he can't get a boat load of money for his 1205 he is going to take his anger out on the vacuum. That's just sad. I hate to see a good vintage vacuum being tossed in the trash, but there is really nobody stupid enough to pay $200 plus shipping for a 1205.

Power nozzle
A couple of years ago (just for a lark LOLOL) I tried fitting a power nozzle to one of these Larks (or Hooverette as they were called here) and it actually worked quite well, to the extent that I would have almost made provision for a PN on the cleaner (it works but its not the best example I have).
