Electrolux mighty mite filters

Help Support VacuumLand:

I cannot find any official parts source for a premotor filter for this vacuum.

You will have to use "cut to fit" filter cloth material. It's that scratchy hairy stuff that looks like a pot scrubber.

Many items to choose from, this is just an example. Listings called "HQRP Pre-motor & Air Clean Filter Kit for Miele Vacuum Cleaners, 905 SF-SAC 20" also might work, you'd only need the one square pad from it.

centralsweeper63 we don't get vacuum filters or bags in the supermarket if I want filters or bags I have to go to a appliance repair shop and ask them what they have they don't make spares for my vacuum cleaner anymore so I have to figure out what I can use as a filter to protect the motor of the vacuum cleaner I don't even get bags for the vacuum cleaner anymore the bags I get are aeg gr28 and I have to cut the cardboard to make it fit

You can indeed cut a cloth bag to fit! Just be careful to not seperate the layers. Place it in gently and make sure it is compressed.
centralsweeper63 I was thinking can I take two pieces and put it inside to inside and sew it together to keep it coming apart I can't compress it any other way the Machine itself doesn't compress it

I did ask my mother that too and she did say I should do it with the sewing machine I will go to the shops today to see if I can find a pot scrubber I will report back what I find in the shops

For those readers in North America, the European Electrolux Mighty Mite is completely different from the Eureka versions sold in the US and Canada since the 1980’s. Just Google the name and you’ll see. When Sweden’s Electrolux bought Eureka in 1974, it acquired all the rights to the trademarked names Eureka created and so names like “Mighty Mite” and “SmartVac” and “The Boss” could be slapped onto any vacuum model created by Electrolux or any of it’s subsidiaries around the world.
