Electrolux LX Question

suction comparison

I've heard different answers on this, but I believe the LX and 1205 use the same motor. The LX, models e, f, g, and 1205 all used the same motor, I've also heard that Electrolux changed the motor in the middle of the 1205 run. It was definitely changed with the Super J. I would say the suction would be similar on the two models you ask about, I believe the motor was 535 watts, and it's a very nice sounding, quiet motor compared to what a lot of motors sound like today.

Both model 60, as well as the model 1205 use a 535 W motor that spins at the exact same speed. The difference between the two motors are the differences in the turbine fans themselves. The automatic F had completely different fans, and these were used up through the end of the run of the Golden Jubilee. So from the model automatic F through the end of the Golden Jubilee, those cleaners had exactly the same amount of airflow and suction. That would all change with the introduction of the super J.

Same wattage

But the motors are different, 30 and 60 as well as some Es use 2 ball bearings, F and G motors use a sleeve bearing at the commutator end, many other differences, as mentioned the fans are different, the tan G 1968- uses a much more powerful motor although the same wattage, it is identified by red brush holders, a 1205 is a 600 watt motor I think, Electrolux refined that 535 watt motor until it was perfect, I tried once putting a F motor in a G....guess what, it was too long and would not fit!
