Hi guys
Thanks, the more I hear about these vac's the happier I am about my purchase. I'd never really thought about them much before, never used one, have just seen them in neighbour's garages, most people I knew had the 500 series or the later Glider and Contour models.
Seems strange that there aren't more around, poor build quality would be the obvious answer, but to my hand this feels very sturdy and the plastics have a nice feel to them (excluding the bag door...which bows in if you put your hand on the end of the hose *LOL*)
If definately needs a good polish and a few little (mostly cosmetic) repairs (the camera flash picks up every little mark, but in nomrmal lighting it looks very smooth!)
Have never head of the 615, the colour does strike me as being rather odd, I thought perhaps a case of yellowing too, but the other white models from the range don't appear to suffer from this. Odd!
That German model must be quite a rare beast, I can't imagine these sold too well on the cylinder-dominated German market (can't imagine it being too practical either, considering most German homes I have been in have had hard floors throught!)
As you say Rob it is rather light and easy to move, it's excellent for stairs (especially with the half landing at my parent's house). Mother has been a cylinder girl for about 10 years now, this is the first upright she's used and enjoyed using. Perhaps it has coverted her....
Take care all!
Matt
