Are the Aerus Lux and Proteam XP clones based on the old
Electrolux 3000/ 4000 uprights? Reading through reviews it sounds like Aerus Lux has more powerful motor, better fit and finish, and attachments. Are Proteam worth considering for small office with mix of commercial liw pule carpet and hard floors? We can get Proteam 1200XP for about $400 and supercoach pro 6 for about $520. Lux heavy duty upright and Lux canister even used ones are more expensive. Sebo G300 or Windsor are also good vacs. But people at work are hard on vacs.

The lux heavy duty upright is a great machine. I sell alot of them to cleaning company's and so far they have held up really well. It pretty powerful and lightweight and has a unique cord feature that allows you to put either a 25 or 50 foot cord on it. If they run over the cord and damage it they can literally Un plug the cord from the machine go buy a new cord at home depot and replace it themselves. It also has the bag lock out feature so if somebody changes the bag and doesn't replace it, it will not turn on preventing motor damage. The pro team uprights are made different and the wheels amd housings are not the same as the aerus uprights. If you are interested give us a call we can help 727 565 6044. We can ship right to you and have a few c
Discounted machines available.

Yes they are based on the older Lux uprights. In fact Aerus, back when they were known as Electrolux, used to make uprights for ProTeam until Electrolux sold the 4000 design to ProTeam. But now Aerus is back to selling that same design again, only this time it's made by someone else. It's made by the same company who also makes one for Perfect, Clean Obsessed, Bissell, Lavex, etc. They're the EXACT same machines. But why pay more for the Aerus where you can get the Lavex for WAY less? Doesn't really make sense to me unless if it's for collecting purposes. Anyways with that being said, the Lux Heavy Duty upright I think is a great machine. I sold them as the Perfect and Bissell when I worked at a vacuum store. But I like the ProTeam 1500XP better. The switch is on the handle, they use indicator lights, and the warranty is even longer. Or my recommendation for a professional commercial grade upright would either Sebo/Windsor or Lindhaus. Tornado and Advance/Clarke also make awesome dual motor uprights. The Sanitaire Multi-Surface is a good option but I'd avoid Sanitaire or Bissell if you can because they have or had (Probably still do today) the worst warranty service when we were a dealer.

However if you say you have folks that are really hard on vacs, then I would recommend not an upright but a backpack vacuum cause all you're pushing around is just the hose and the wand. The ProTeam is an excellent option, I also really like the Sandia Raven, I've sold the Perfect/Bissell before, and I like the Hoover Shoulder Vac Pro. But there are alot of other good backpack vacuums out there.
