Today I went to the Ronald McDonald sale in my area. It's huge!!! Anyway, It was the last day of the sale, And I ended up with a Electro Hygene upright(looks like an early 90's royal), a compact j.c penney canister, and a lamp, all for a mere $16(was half off, as it it the last day)They both work, the electro hygene needs a light bulb and bags, and the j.c penney needs a good cleaning. Anyway, I think i got two good machines today!!!!!! This is the same electro hygene I have:

Congrats Mitchell!!

Great find and sounds like you got a great deal! Looks like your Electro-Hygiene is a model 903, built between 1971 and 1983, and appears to be all original. I'm also thinking that because of the wide wheels and generic adjust-o-rite plate, it probably was built after 1975, as earlier ones would have narrower wheels and the adjust-o-rite plate would have said Electro-Hygiene on it. Give it a once-over with Mother's Mag and you'll have one beautiful machine!

Thanks! I looked on the bottom and its actually the model 503. The model in the pic is not mine but they look exactly alike. All it needs is a light bulb.

Sorry I made a mistake. It is the model 903. The sticker is worn so you cant tell that it says 903 unless you look real close. Sorry for the confusion - Mitchell

Any Ideas As to Its Serial #?

Mitchell,

From what is left of the nameplate, I wonder if the serial # is considered legible enough to read? Example: 67A-B-100939.

67A = January 1976 (6=calendar year; 7=calendar year decade; A=calendar year month January)
B = motor series revision
100939 = serial number sequence

Thank you,

Ben
