Ebay Alert! New In Box Hoover Concept One

Thanks for all your support gang......

and sincere apologies to those who feel this made it more difficult for them to pay for something they really wanted. I have plenty of other ways to be part of all the great conversations here - so no need for me to get involved in the eBay controversy.

I guess I really get excited when I see a vintage vac that has never been used in its original box! I don't have the facilities in my little apartment to try to clean up an old machine and deal with all the shmutz that someone has left in the bag and the hairs (ugh!) wrapped around the brush. So when I see a NIB vintage vac somewhere on the net, fireworks go off in my head! You should have seen how excited I was when I last saw a New-In-Box Eureka from the 1970's on eBay! I think it was one of those classic Princesses in avocado green with the wood-grain top.......ahhhh......as Barbra Streisand sings "memories..." (That avocado Princess was once in an episode of "Love American Style" - remember that show?)

Okay...'nuff said guys....onward and upward!

how I feel

I am currently selling on ebay and have no intentions of listing what I am selling on ebay on this forum. I think it is in poor taste in my opinion. I think we all prowl ebay enough to find what we want when we want it. I do think when its all done and over with saying hey look what I got is acceptable but. But that is just how I feel.

Many of us do not have the time to put into searching as oth

I am always poking around e-bay and I missed this one untill Brian posted it.If I had the money Id bid on it,anyway I do agree It can/does drive the price up and can be in poor taste to post something of your own. Like Matt, I would not feel right posting somthing I was selling. I can't even bring myself to put something on the bay without first offering it to the club first now that I have found you guys.
So I guess I agree to dissagree, and respect everyones point of view :)
Now I feel the need to window shop.lol

I did

Matt,I thought I had sent a return one. Sorry. I didn't call you because I work nights. I at work now typing while working lol

Sorry I have not had time to post to this thread.

Brian, you are not to feel bad about posting this auction. Ebay is a public auction, anyone can see it.

Personally, I enjoy seeing some items that are posted and talked about here. I may or may not have an interest in the machine to purchase, but enjoy seeing the auction, and hoping it finds a good home.

Someone here mentioned, place your top bid, if it goes higher, you were not going to win it any way. Simple as that.

This is a place to learn, collect, save and protect our common interest...The VACUUM CLEANER!

My collection is as large as I am going to allow it to be, so now it is fun to see them here, on auctions, at the convention and mini meets.

Thank you for making this community a very welcoming place for all Morgan - and it's heartwarming to hear your thoughts on this issue.

Now off to search the net for vintage Eurekas - even if I am only window-shopping.....

Have a great weekend!
