Thanks guys, I remember the Singer System canister, though never got to use one. I am sure that is the machine I remember. I didn't realize it was infact the singer system. Thank you!!!

According to the Singer sheets I have these were the dates for the machines:

C1 - 1956-1958
C2 - 1958-1959
C3 - 1959-1962
C4 - 1961-1964
C5 - 1962-1964
C6 - 1964 -
C7 - 1964 -

E1 - 1958
E2 - 1958-1959
E3 - 1959-1961
E4 - 1961-
E8 - 1964-
E9 - 1964-

Guess I might as well add the newer Singers I have in my collection as well.

This is a Singer System 90 - Model: SL800C. It was sold from 1991-1994 by Consumers Distributing her in Canada for $229.99 and was made by Ryobi in Anderson, SC, USA

And the final singer I have in my collection. A Singer 3.3 Model: DLC-400C. It was also sold from 1991-1994 by Consumers Distributing her in Canada for $168.98 and was made by Ryobi in Anderson, SC, USA

I love the description on that Singer manual.......

Full-Power Roll-a-Magic Special Vacuum Cleaner with Attach-O-Matic Clip-On Cleaning Tools! What a mouthful!

I suppose the cheaper version would be the "Partial-Power Roll-A-Magic Not-So-Special Vacuum Cleaner with non-automatic manual clip-on cleaning tools......."

Those automatic tool clips must have been amazing!

New to this site. Not sure how to reach out for parts

I have a beautiful Singer, thought it was a C3 but not sure now. I've been looking for the (brown attachment set)same style as Eureka that would go with my baby. I bought it on E-Bay(one of the kids no one else was watching). Ugly generic replacement hose, but beautiful machine. Has the original Red power cord, bought new hose,(possible what would have been on Kirby) Perfect from what I've seen. If anyone knows where I can purchase wands and attachments that will match,(reasonable price!)please let me know.
Funny Note: I recently bought a Hoover celebrity II from a thrift shop, nice shape my partner said it looks like a Ford Mavrick with cheap hub caps (next to Singer) and hurts MS. Singer's feelings being in the same room. LOL.
LOVE this site Thanks to everyone that shares their special stories!!!

Wow up close shot brought memories! We had that machine, I was too young to remember it, but grandma got it when we got the Compact. I used them both to death.

C1 Singer vaccum cleaner

Does anyone know where could I purchase dust bags for the Singer C1 model. It is the greatest machine going strong like new.

Thank you very much for your help!!

Bags for Singer C1

Can anyone tell me where I can buy bags for my Singer C1.

I've used this vac for over 50 years, and it it absolutely the best canister vac (excluding large shop cacs).

Maybe in a couple of days I will have some images of a Singer canister vac to add to this thread. I just bought a Kenmore 3.1 off eBay after a lengthy negotiation with the seller. I should see it Friday or Monday. It is, from what I can tell, a Ryobi built Kenmore badged DLC something or the other (100? 200? 300? 400? Beats me). It looks pretty much like the DLC 400C pictured above. There are recesses on the underside for tools. It comes with a hose and nothing else. I am anxious to open it up, see what's inside and clean her up. An odd duck interloper into the Kenmore High Desert Restoration Center. Now the quest for accessories begins! And to think just a few months ago I let a powered brush for one of those slide by. I even had a thread here asking what it was. D'oh.
