I won a Dyson DC25 on eBay for £22 it was being sold as spares or repairs due to the fact that the brushbar wasn't working. I have a spare brush motor and PCB luckily, so it is a bargain.
I will be collecting it today from Sutton Coldfield, not very far. I used to own an Animal one a few years ago from new till I sold it. I regretted it later. I will be keeping this one and it will be a good project. The seller has attempted to repair it by removing the switch actuator and having a look, but he couldn't diagnose the problem. The problem is either the wire look on the side, the brushbar motor or the PCB.
