Well I’ll make a condensed comment on all your replies. I never would have thought that they have a Panasonic motor, they’ve proven reliable. I purchased it from eBay for $65, and told the seller to pack very well, as they can be brittle. I examined the pictures carefully, my uncle still uses one, and I knew what it should have. I was definitely not going to pay over $200 for the others on eBay. I did prefer the lower hose, as it affects the contact with the floor. I was going to buy the clutch and brush roll, but I’ll see if it needs it. The main hose can easily be sourced. I’m also covered on base blades, eBay has several for sale. I just hope it arrives in one piece, I’ve been lucky so far, we’ll just see. I absolutely love the quirky sound that the cyclones make on the dc07, it finishes a strange but good looking vacuum off. My grandmother’s stowaway motor head had an electrical problem (8 years ago) and my uncle brought over his dc07. I cleaned all three thousand square feet with that dc07 and really liked it. My uncle’s dc07 is from 2004 and I guarantee it never got serviced, it’s still running strong.
