Hi! I have the few odd pics. The DC04 I have posted so you can see on my previous blog. Here I will attach the DC03 and 1 x DC04. I have the DC05 but I will only post the requested pics. I will do a seperate thread for the DC05.
This has been in use since 1999 when I had problems with the DC05's cord rewinding when the machine got hot (a lesson on buying an early production machine which may have teething problems, good to see Dyson sorted this out from year 2000) Dyson sent me the DC03 as I made such a fuss for having to keep sending the DC05 back all the time for repair.
The DC03 came but I hated it straight away cos the noise was just so much more compared to what I was used to before. But started to really like this machine as it went flat to the floor unlike other Dysons and could be hooked up on the wall, I doubt many people hooked their DC03's onto the wall.
I had a problem with the DC03 after a few months, it went to their factory for repair and came back with a description of 'Motor and Clutch Failure'. The clutch would not stay in 'Smooth Floor' setting, the knob kept on jumping back into 'Neutral' Dyson at the time when they first launched Brush Control called it 'Adaptive Brush Control' and the control had 'N' Neutral 'P' Park and 'D' Drive. They have changed this now on OFF, OFF and ON. It was a bit annoying as when I turned the knob to Off the knob would just jump back to back ON and the brush would spin, not good say if vacuuming a delicate rug for example - Dyson said it is something with the way the clutch was set in the factory - I saw a couple of DC03's in the shops with the same problem so not very good at the time even though the DC03 was a very reliable machine.
My machine had been in use for a few years when I decided on getting a DC04 in 2004. This DC03 has gone to someone now and I doubt he uses it.
We have another DC03 which is in the shed not being used, this has been used all over the place and has been brilliant, we never changed the filter in it but I dont use it so not required to do so.
