trading,

A Dyson for a Riccar is like trading a Prius for a DeSoto!

And no, I haven't read the autobiography, and don't know if I would care too!

Sadly no, from the pictures I have seen the bin connection is completely incompatible as the cyclone exit is designed differently.
Believe me, I have wondered about all this before!

Why on EARTH

Would you even TRY fitting a DYSON part to a FANTOM, or any vacuum for that matter! That poor Lightning would have the most shameful Cyclonic bin in the house!

The Lightning and Dyson DC02 are two completely diffrent designs. I don't know why you would want to fit a DC02 bin on the Lightning, It's already miles ahead of the DC02, or any Dyson for that matter!

DC02 motor variations

Thank you Beko 1987 for posting such a comprehensive breakdown of the DC02 have just completed this on my DC02 De Stijl apart from removing the motor and cable. Will shortly take apart the DC02 DAS and DC02 Clear I have too.

Does anyone know how many motor types were used in the DC02, YDK or panasonic etc?
My DC02 Clear needs a new motor but as it's incomplete I may use it as a static display model.

Dc02 pedal switches

Could someone please explain how to remove the 2 pedal switches on a DC02? For the power and cable reel. Also how do you get the big central button release out of it's bracket for getting the lid off the cyclone basically.
