VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Sorry guys, but I have absolutely had it with all this nonsense. We can't seem to go one day without having these posts from get marked as offensive from a very small portion of the UK membership.

citroenbx just decided to use the "F" word in a post in this thread. I removed the entire post. citroenbx IS NOW ON A ONE WEEK POSTING BAN FOR BREAKING THAT VERY IMPORTANT RULE.

My patience is running thin now, will there be more temporary and permanent postings bans? You guys can make that choice by your behavior.

Update at 23 minutes after the hours. madabouthoovers didn't like my message above and made it loud and clear how he felt in an email to me. madabouthoovers is now on a 7-day posting ban as well.

Who's next?

Yeh, Well I just don't get why vacuumland isn't as peaceful as it was before, I loved this site, and I still will if we all get together and respect each other instead of acting like babies in nursery. In my opinion, this has gone way out of control, and I noticed some people were trying to start on each other, so therefore this lead to what you see now.

PS We should stop now and get a grip, starting now, because if there is a new member, what example are we going to be setting them? That vacuumland is just a jailbait site? NO! It's a vacuum forum. We are just misusing the purpose of this site, if you want to argue, take it to inbox.
We should respect each other, treat others how you want to be treated, because you will get the same back then.
Another thing is that... OH Wait Why am I reminding all of us? We are mature and we know it, so come on! Lets start fresh!!! :)

Positive start to Easter yay

I've Been following this thread and can't believe the 180 this thing took into the Twilight Zone! Would like to try and put it back on the tracks by congratulating Josh on getting his new Dyson DC01 and on scoring those other new vacuums this past weekend. Way to go Josh!! They went to a great home!

Awesome! I hope you enjoy the DC01, Its very rare to encounter a DC01 in the box, brand new! If you keep ahold of it brand new for as long as possible, you will make loads from that machine.

Parwaz I understand what you say but remember people buy things for their own enjoyment and soemtimes no amount of money can replace the enjoyment he may get by using it.
It is entiely his choice and how he sees fit to use it.

I did the very same thing.

If you were to give me £1million in 20 years time for a BNIB Turbomaster I would of missed out on something I had a once in a life time opportunity to do. Use it brand new.

That £1 million pounds might not be able to buy that experience although it will buy others, It just wont buy me a BNIB turbomaster.

If my own goals in life are to experience old cleaners BNIB and thats what my lifes desires are then no amount of holidays, bungee jumping, theme park trips, sight seeing is ever going to satisfy that and il go to my grave with unaccomplished tasks.

Josh it seems has learning difficulties so all power to him if he covets this cleaner and wants to experience a brand new in box one for himself and savour the moment he is totally in his rights to do it. ~if thats his goal to make his life amazing then thats that.

#These are this guys dreams come true.

No money will ever give it back to him.

If Josh wants to keep it BNIB then thats his choce too. whos to tell him what to do? we can only point out pro's and cons of which has already been done here several times already.

I bought the Maytag upright and the Panasonic 451 :)

YEs DC01 is very reliable, the DC04 models are also reliable.

In my opinion, the DC01 models to the DC25 are the best. No other.

A Dyson DC07 with the later cyclone will be suitable because you hardly need to wash the filter, it rarely gets dirty! This is only for the late DC07 models.

Also, the Dyson DC07 and DC14 are the most powerful Dyson vacuums ever made! They have the most suction, and they stick to the floor well. Especially the non clutched models.

The most reliable Dyson DC04 in my opinion is the Silver lime model. They has the good and reliable Italian Ametek motor fitted to it, which is why you dont see many burnt out DC04 lime models. The clutch DC04's do have a good motor, but not as reliable as the DC04 silver lime one.
