Dyson always amuses/ticks me off with their implication of being the first with bagless vacuums plus all that bragging about cyclonic action. As noted above Rainbow beat them to bagless by decades as did Filter Queen and Compact with cyclonic action. Filter Queens and Compacts don't have conventional disposable bags either. I wouldn't swap any of my Compacts for a plastic Dyson even if some do clean well!
BTW I like old Citroens too, having owned Dyane, DS/ID and SM models. Citroen pulled out of the US after '73 so we never got the CX, BX, XM or Xantia . Some CXs were brought in privately but that was very difficult and expensive; once Peugeot got control of Citroen in '75 they made sure only Peugeots would be officially sold here until they gave up in '91 and left too.
