Just scored a Kirby DS50 at a great price. Can't wait for it to get here. Been looking for one in reasonably good shape at an affordable price for ages. The local Kirby distributor has deals with all the local Thrift shops so a Kirby is NEVER sold to the general public. He buys them all.

Touch down on the

DS50!!!!!! Did you get the attachments too?? My mom had that one brand new, I didn't like it cause it was brown, I wanted the red & grey one that the neighbors had but theirs was older. Right before we left Orlando the other neighbor got a DS80 I liked that colour better then the brown!! Best of luck with it!!!! Mark D.

I'm getting most of everything... except a hose and the tank for the rug renovator... going to have to find those and maybe some parts for the handi-butler (buffing wheels in particular). I know I can get a black hose that fits, but I'm going to search out a Sirocco (tan) one. From talking to the guy I bought it from, his deceased wife used it for 48 years. He's looking for the tank for the Rug Renovator and a few other parts not in the pictures he sent me. I don't think he exactly knows what goes with it ;-)

Just found the hose... but no joy on the tank.. I could get one from a Classic... but the top would be dark brown instead of Tan.. not the end of the world, but I've got time.

Was in a neighboring town today

Delivered some bags, a Sidekick II and stopped for lunch at a little place I know. New thrift store next door and what do I find?? A complete rug renovator for a Classic, about half the tools and box for same and a G7 shampooer. Only the rug-renovator came home with me... for the princely sum of $5, so now I have a water tank that will work as well.

Congratulations on your finds. I like the way the DS cleans, and the smaller head. Good machines.
