does miele still make the accu-nova?

Good question, Michael!

I always thought this was a brilliant idea by Miele - a rechargeable power nozzle that does not need wiring to the main vac unit.

Does anyone know if these nozzles perform well?

Are they better than an air-driven turbo nozzle?

Do you get a long work period with one charge? Or does it die out too early? I think it should be able to go for at least 1/2 hour to be useful.

Can it fit onto one of the new Miele Olympus vacs?

Brian, Miele wasn't the first to make a battery-operated

That credit belongs to EIO, another German firm that competes with Miele. They first had a battery-operated p/n when they introduced the EIO Varia canisters to North America a few years ago. If memory serves correct, both the EIO & Miele p/n's are made for them by Wessel-Werk.

I was sure that Chris Parker posted some pictures of the Miele AccuNova head recently, and seemed very impressed with it - but I can't find the thread anywhere on this forum, or in the archives! Perhaps I dreamt it? lol

remember Greenville Vacuum and Sewing had a rechargeable powernozzle for Meile vacuums-Last I remember the battery in it died-no customers wanted to buy it-they would buy the electric powernozzle instead-cheaper-and better performance. So the poor rechargeable powernozzle ended up in the trash.
