Do you make your Bed?

Good Morning (evening now)
I hope you make your bed! Mom always told you too! Here is my technique, since I just changed my sheets today. Start by stripping your bed

Step One

Move things away from the front of your bed. My bed is a 1958 Bed Frame that belonged to my Grandfather. It is still in Top Notch shape. i also have his 'bachelor' Bed Frame in the basement, waiting for me to have my own place to set it up

Step Two

Place your Mattress Cover on the Bed, nice and snug (if you dont have one of thses, go to STEP THREE)

Step Three

Put your fitted sheet on. Tuck all the corners in, then pull it fairly tight

Step Four

Add your Top Sheet on.

Step Five

Add your Blankets. Im missing a picture! Tuck the front and front corners very carefully for that sharp corner look

Step Six

Add the Comforter. I put the front up to place the skirts on

Step Seven

Add the Skirt. I have no Formal Skirt so i use two spare blankets. Tuck the front of the comforter down

Step Eight

Add your next blanket

Step Nine

Another Blanket! This one is so big, i fold the front in

Now, just put your things back in front of your bed

I always make my bed before I leave my room.

I have 9 sets of sheets.  I know.


  I always use "hospital corners" when I change the sheets. Each bed here has a blanket, a quilt, and a down comforter.  "Toasty".

The twins have 4,  the double has 5.  PLUS. are you ready/?


  There are Christmas sheets for all of them as well as Lenox linen Christmas quilts !  I know.. But,  I love them.

Irish wool blankets and George Washington quilts.Remember them?Oddly,rarely does anyone else ever stay here anymore.


 I must admit,  I got beautiful sets for the twins.  Ralp Lauren,  at the outlet,  clearance,  for a song..... @15.00 per set.  Not namedropping, or being the "elitist I've been called,  but,  could anyone pass them up for that price?

Wow, John! I have 3 sets of sheets and...I wouldnt dare count how many blankets on the shelf in my closet. I know so many people who dont know how to make a bed!
Next time, lets see who keeps a Clean Room!
