Did anyone here ever use a Dyson Cinetic Upright before they were discontinued?

Assuming you babied the vacuum, didn't go over the max fill line, cleaned out the bin regularly etc. Were the "Cinetic Tips" actually enough to not need a pre-motor filter? I've always been curious, as i've never used one. I've seen videos of abused ones in shops, but was wondering about the experience with a more advanced user so to speak.

I have three videos which might address the case where abuse and neglect hasn't occurred for machines with Cinetic technology.
