Anybody had or tried one of these? What are they like? Is the brushbar a beater?
Thanks :)

They are an ordinary bagged upright vacuum cleaner, with rotating brush, and were nothign special. Although these cleaners were most popular in the late 1980's and early 1990's when they were sold under numerous names - most notably Philips and Delonghi- the cleaner was originally used by the Aqua Vac and Kenwood companies in the early 1980's. This was when Aqua Vac was part of Shop-Vac and not Goblin.

I have no idea who built the cleaners, all I know is they were for the cheaper end of the market, originally had separate tools, with on-board tools being added towards the end of the 1980's if not later.

Thanks for the info, I think they look nice, don't know why though. Perhaps because of how simple it looks. Never really seen a Delonghi vacuum before, thought they manufactured only kitchen appliances.
