We have the Dyson DC59 Animal model and since I purchased it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond a few months ago I'm VERY tempted to return it and buy the Motorhead version. I really like the DC59 animal as it does a wonderful job on our wood floors and wool area rugs. It doesn't do so hot on our wall to wall carpeting in the bedrooms but that's not where it's supposed to shine. IT has a great run time so long as you don't use it on max.
I agree with the comments above regarding their current upright line up--- I'm not the biggest fan of the Dyson DC41 so I'm about to return it as well. The last Dyson upright I had that I really thought was good was the DC17 Absolute. That thing was a beast! Now that I primarily just use my central vac with hide-a-hose I really just need a lightweight, bagged upright (that doesn't stink) to run through the wall-to-wall areas where the Turbocat seems kind of wimpy!
