Ah the trusty old Volvo's. I had a then new 82 240GL 4cyl. It was a wonderful car and I drove it for almost 12 years and put about 200k miles on it if not more. I sold it to my niece who drove it around Edmonton, then they were transferred cross country to the east coast and drove it there, a couple more years and they were transferred back to the west coast and drove it back, then back to Edmonton and it just kept on going and going and going. She only sold it about 5 years ago and apparently it's still on the road up in Edmonton Alberta somewhere. One thing I can say, there aren't many cars that could keep up with it on the twisty hairpin mountain curves and they turn on a dime. The easiest car in the world to make a U turn on a narrow street, tighter than the then Honda Civic.
