Could you help me with my Electrolux model V motor

Hey!
Last week I bought this Electrolux Model V from 1920´s. Actually this is my second one. I have already one but it´s with 120V motor and all steel hose without this fabric cover. I opened the motor to check everything is ok before I will start the motor and now I have some questions about it.

Shoud I put some oil or someting in this motor. It´s very tight and difficult to rotate with hand, is there something wrong with it?

Do you have any ideas?

Yes, the hole is for oiling. You don't actually need to remove the motor to access it. There's a small spring-loaded "button" on the motor housing under the handle. The button is on top of that narrow brass tube you're holding in your fingers. The wick in your photo should go into that tube (not down into the commutator). Press the tip of your oil can against the button to open it and dispense some oil. Do not overdo it -- just add a few drops at a time, then run the motor a little bit, then a few more drops if it still seems sluggish or sounds dry.

Be Sure..

To use a good quality electric motor oil, a few drops should do it, turn the motor by hand until it loosens up, you dont want to risk scoring"Scratching" those sleeve bearings, when it turns free, then you can turn it on.
