I think I had it weeks ago, low fever for 3 weeks, cough for two,no taste for one, just felt crappy. But that's 3 weeks past now!

Yeah David you totally had it. That's like a textbook case. If you're not coughing anymore, then you're over it and shouldn't be contagious anymore. :)

Thanks! Glad to hear you say that too. My neighbor was sure at the time, I said got it from where? I really am a stay-at-home take long walks outside clean freakbut I find out afterwards that they almost son was sick a week before and he felt he had it, and a friends with benefits of mine was sick with the same symptoms 3 days before me so I assume one of them. Again I think that makes me pretty safe now which is great. 👍😁

I guess what had me wondering? Was that I have no lung issues, of course I walk several miles a day and I've never had any bad habits and my blood oxygen level is normally about 98 or 99% maybe all those strong lung tissue and diaphragm kept me from having trouble

I was watching a video with this German doctor talking about Corona, and he made a lot of sense. He was saying the places with the most serious cases and high fatalities are places with terrible air pollution. Consider the worst places now: Northern Italy (they also smoke too much and like to hug), New York City, Los Angeles, and Wuhan. All severely polluted places. In other words, all those people have lung damage already.

I was originally thinking I had a weak strain of the virus, but now I'm beginning to think that it's really not that bad at all, but it does attack the lungs, and if you have any kind of lung problems, you're screwed.

Also, my sister's Corona test came back positive so that means that me and my whole household has had it for sure.

I got hit with something nasty back in early February but I didn't have really any of the symptoms and nobody else caught it. Mostly I just felt bad with aches on a Friday night and it lasted the weekend and started going away by the Monday after. Fever, nausea, weakness getting up and down, no appetite, etc. No respiratory issues.

Still it was strange, because I rarely get sick anymore to that extent.

Also right around then my grandfather got very ill and started falling multiple times and passed away in February late. Hearing about the Coronavirus made me wonder if it was related at first but I think it was something else, likely just natural causes since he was in his 90s.

I did worry this week because I heard a case spread in Georgia from a funeral. We had the funeral in early March which was right when the virus was starting to come in and with people coming from different parts of the state and other states I worried we may have contracted something but it didn't seem to be the case and you'd think we would've had symptoms by a month later.

I heard bad news about two friends today.

One has been hospitalized with Covid-19.

The other had to lay off 600 people, including himself.

I really pray

That everyone who was laid off will get called back in. We will need those workers back after this is over.
A former adviser to Obama said it may be 18 months(a year and a half). Hopefully that theory is not realistic. Hopefully we can go back to work by practicing social distancing sooner. Then I hear it’s going to be two months or so. The sooner the better!

On the positive side there may be a pent up demand due to donations. Hopefully after this the thrift stores will have some nice vintage vacs!

I got laid off in January but not officially until last month when I got the paperwork which was fine because HR called to let me know that someone in my department tested positive which I told them I wasn't around anyone or even there since I hadn't been there since Jan. They had no idea I wasn't still there and also I was all clear. My neighbors have been great giving me extra work and I'm actually making more working for all them then when I was putting in a full 40hr week. I volunteer with Habitat For Humanity and they have a back load of pickups so I know there will be plenty of things also the same thing for garage/estate sales too.

My little town is feeling the impact. The P66 Refinery sent all their contractors home and the Solvay plant I work at is furloughing most of everyone for a few months, unfortunately I’ll be one of the ones cut since they are going to only keep 1-2 people in each maintenance craft and I’m the lowest seniority in I&E. A lot of the mom and pop stores have been impacted so bad that I’m a lot of them may not reopen. I’ve planned ahead and myself and my family will be okay, but I know this is going to hurt my town’s economy since it’s mostly driven by Oil and the Auto industry demands. I hope everyone is okay during these times and I want everyone to stay safe and take precautions and maybe we can ride this out together.

Meh

Last weekend my wife found out one of her employees got it. I woke up Monday having fever, sore throat body aches and headaches. Me and my wife had to get tested since her employees has it. I had to get tested because of my wife and the jobsite I'm at if I tested positive it would shut down the whole jobsite. That's over 100 workers.
I got tested and no covid for me or my wife. My wife there quarantined all of n3xt week as 2 more people have it.
You ccn boost your immune system but if some dirty bird gets in your space your getting it.
I sat home for 3 days and I'm going nuts.
I started my classes up again and we're using Google meeting and doing class over that. We will finish in 3 weeks. I'm just glad to pass the class.
I told my wife the disease came from a bird or a bat. That's why I'm petrified of birds and bats. It didn't help the guinea pig bats went rogue and we're all paying the price. I think china should be held responsible for every death. They get low to no tax on foreign goods and control our economy with loans. I say okay china we have no defecit .
They are killing people and our economy is taking a dump get Putin and trump and get warships and ask china if there up for negotiations.
The above mentioned won't happen quite like I hope. You better believe china is going to pay the pied Piper. Every country holds them accountable there going to comply. It's the moral thing to do with honor.
Sorry on the rant sitting home all day is boring.
Stay bright stay alive and be positive.

I'm surprised you tested negative, those symptoms sound similar. Odd chance that you caught the regular flu, I guess. Did you or your missus lose sense of taste and smell? That's a bigger giveaway.

The virus is more or less man made. When it first came out, scientists were talking about how it had genetic markers of HIV, which would not occur naturally. Of course, that information is now being suppressed. Wherever it came from originally (the States, btw), it escaped from a virology lab in Wuhan. On purpose or by accident is another question. The bat soup is just a silly meme. Although it is likely the wet market in Wuhan (a stone's throw from the virology lab) had something to do with it. Test animals, perhaps?

Fortunately, the virus is nowhere near as bad as THE MAN would have us believe. We're far enough in it by now that we have enough numbers. The mortality rate is at or below 1%. The reason there are so many dead is simply because it's so contagious that many more people have had it, than people have had the flu (which incidentally kills 30,000 Americans yearly). It's all about numbers. If you throw out the number 70,000 dead, it sounds like a plague. But that's less than 0.3% of the population.

Is it bad? Yes, it's bad. Do we need to continue to destroy our country and its people's livelihoods?

Idk

The loss of taste no. The loss of smell idk I had allergies I couldn't tell. Thinking you may have it makes you imagine things are worse than they are.
We are both negative. She gets another week off as I think out of 12 workers 6 have it. I'm just glad she doesn't.
I think it's funny the face masks are required. Yet we went fishing at a small park at a pond nearby. There was three sets of kids 8 total kids in 2 hours pass by us. There was not an adult within 300 feet of them. I only seen one parent. The kids didn't have any PPE on. People are scared if you look at them and while others don't care.
I just wish the virus was done. It will in time.

What's so scary about this virus to me is you really don't know what the outcome will be if you get it. Healthy young people sometimes die from it, yet there are people in their 90s and even over 100 that have survived it.

I think the death rate could be as high as 5.5%. I'm hearing all kinds of numbers. I don't think we'll ever really know the death rate unless we could say for sure how many people had it with no symptoms or recovered and never were tested.

I heard this year was a particularly bad flu season apart form the virus. Back in January the week of the Super Bowl I got very sick on a Friday. Just very weak, stuck in bed or in a recliner all day Saturday and Sunday and started feeling better Monday. Also kept waking up with sore throat.

Then a few weeks ago I thought I was getting sick again. Fever all day, achy, headache very tired. But it couldn't have been because I went to bed early that night and woke up fine.
