A couple of things you should know: Only paid members of the VCCC are allowed to attend unless you want to join at the event and that cost would be $35.00. In addition, there is a $75.00 registration fee to attend the event.
This is a VCCC sponsored and supported event for it's paid members. There are no vendors. There are several members that are vac store owners but there are no booths. We have designated areas for raffle vacuums, free vacuum items and a for sale area. This is the 30th year anniversary of the conventions.
At the beginning of this thread, you will see a schedule of events. This schedule is similar to what has been happening for nearly the last 10 years of our conventions.
I don't want to discourage you, but to pay $105.00 just to get in--I'm not sure it would be what you would expect. You might do better here soliciting what vacuums you are looking for and then do private emails with the sellers. Most of what you mentioned appear on ebay from time to time, plus you can find great things at estate sales and thrift stores.
We certainly would encourage you to join the club to pursue your interest in vacuums as a wealth of knowledge is available from the membership. Just ask, it will come at you in many directions.
Hope this answers your questions and concerns.
RE: the number of, "Convention Virgins", attending, I do not have the registrations list in front of me, (I am in transit to the convention), but, there are a fair number of new names. You can only be a virgin once..........savor the moment and make wonderful memories! I'm one of the, "oldies", that look forward to meeting new members. Looking forward to seeing and meeting all our newbies! All our members are always welcoming to those attending for the first time and do not be afraid to ask questions as to what is going on. That is the only way to learn.
