Concordia E-2000, Japan market Electrolux Ambassador

Interesting how everything American over in Japan is rebranded. We got a very different ambassador over here.
Electrolux AB already owned the rights to the Electrolux name everywhere but North America so Electrolux Inc. from the US had to find different names to sell their vacuums under in Japan and Europe.

Very cool. I recall that some time ago there was another thread on the discussion of a Concordia pn that was listed separately on eBay.

Regarding the Tiger decal on Cheesewonton's Concordia, I suspect that it indicated a top sales award cleaner.

The Canadian E-2000 (and E-Special sans the automatic shut-off mechanism) originated the Concordia E-2000's particular design in 1982; although the Concordia's label graphics and Light Sand Gray & Jadestone colors match the 1985-87 Canadian/US version of the 2100 (and the L-E sans the automatic shut-off mechanism). There is likely a style matching Concordia E-Special and floor polisher, too.

There is a Concordia 2100 with the suction control on a Japanese on-line flea market right now. If it wasn't for the hassle of paying tariffs and customs brokerage fees on top of shipping I would go for it. But Jupiter ( the orange colored gas giant ) and his tariffs have made buying from Japan a PITA now.

Very interesting info Paul. How do you always dig out such gems.

Thanks, Elliot. The VL archived threads are a treasure trove of information and eBay is another good source. The Tiger Award photo was posted by someone who only joined the forum to sell it.

So a top sales person in Japan. Interesting. The vacuum has a back story. You are truly amazing. I wonder where that tiger statue went?

At one point John Anderson, a longtime Electrolux salesman whose father had also been one for many years, frequently posted on VL. His handle was tig21er. I'd like to think that it went to him or someone like him. The tiger award post was in 2014, which is the era when John posted.

Was the tiger award for sales in Canada of sales in Japan? My Concordia is a 100 volt Japanese market vacuum.

That link with the Japanese one has a US style electric plug. So don’t think it was meant for that market.

As far as my PN it was probably the one in discussion years ago as I bought it on eBay. It is brand new, I keep it for parts
