Compact vacuum motor

I just got a compact vacuum and the motor is arcing. its not that much and i dont want to have to buy a new motor. is there any way to fix the arcing?

Get some brown commutator stone, as the motor is running, push it into the arcing commutator to get the copper back into round, the arcing will stop.

<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">First, remove the nut holding the fans, spacers & housing (located on front end)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">You take a slotted screwdriver & gently tap (<span style="text-decoration: underline;">DO NOT POUND THE HOUSING TOO HARD!</span>) it with a rubber mallet.  <span style="text-decoration: underline;">BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE the fan chamber</span>.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Carefully remove the spacers, fans & fan housing.</span></li>
