Hello, vacuum world. I am a lifelong vacuum enthusiast who is looking to revive my collection. So far, I have a 1955 Air-Way Model 66 on the way, as well as a 1970’s (?) POW-R-Vac. I’ve also expressed interest in a 40’s Hoover upright I’ve been interested in for awhile. Where is a good place to find a Singer from the 1930’s? I had an R-2 that I let get away unfortunately. Thanks!

Welcome aboard Mikey! The 66 Air-Way is a good choice, I have one too! And so are the Hoover uprights, I'm assuming you are looking into a 26, 27, 28, 60, or 61, all good choices. I would also recommend a Lux XXX, Hoover Constellation, a Royal, and a Kirby to help round out your collection. I agree with Kirbylux that Tom Gasko might be able to help you find the Singer that you want.

Yes, the model 26 is a nice choice to restart your collection! I have one too, with the attachments that good friend and fellow collector Norm Brown gave me years ago when he was downsizing (Thanks again Norm!). I've replaced the bag with one that's closer to the original since this pic was taken. I also have the Mothimizer for it and recently got an instruction book, so maybe it's time for another picture!
