When I was little I found an old commerical vacuum in my aunt and uncles closet. It was red and black. It was given to me 2 years later. I kept it for a year and it got pitched. I was about 5 or 6 or 4. I honestly do not remember. But I want to describe it and see if anyone can identify it, because I would pay a serious amount of money just to have this vacuum back into my possesion. I loved it, and it is so sentimental to me. OK, it had a black bag, with a red strip on the side that said "commerical" side ways, I never did find out what kind it was. It was a black vacuum. Large circular back plastic handle. At the part of the handle grip that is closestto the base, there was a circular switch that circled around the handle. I believe that this was a brushroll on/off switch. The switch was red. I could have been self propelled and that could have been that switch. But it beats me. The actual switch was right under the back of the handle (like a convertible) but it was not a "light switch" It was like a later convertible switch. It had a two speed motor. It was quiet also. I would love to find out what kind it was so I can track one done. I am thinking after talking to another collector that is a Singer or Kenmore. I have no clue. So if you have one, or know what it is, please reply to this thread, or email me at [email protected] Thank You.
