(This feels odd putting it in the vintage section, but it is over 20 years old, and thems the rules!)
How we doing? Long time no speak, but I wanted to share my latest find with you! A while ago, I was very kindly invited by Thames Valley Police to attend a speed awareness course, for the utterly bargainous price of £100... This happened yesterday, at High Wycombe. It turns out, the course was in a building right next door to the British Heart Foundation, which for any of the US people who have no idea what that is, is pretty much the only mainstream charity shop that sells electricals, and who have vacuums. I've had a Lux Dolphin from them before. Anyway, they had this Contour in, and I thought about it during the 4 hour course, and went and got it upon leaving! (Pic 1 is it in the shop, pic 2 is me walking through town to the car with it, I parked out of town as it was free). I hadn't really looked at it much bar check it was complete, not majorly broken had a brushroll and all it's tools...
I had a proper look at it today and my word it's a special one! The tools are virtually un used, it has a non strech hose, a lovely big Comet exclusive sales sticker, and a pretty early serial number... The only fault so far is the slight damage to the grille and worn brushroll, but I have found a brand new brushroll!
I'll let the pictures do the showing and the video I made do the talking, but thought you might like to see it! I can find 0 info on this anywhere. No scans of comet brochures, no info on here, nothing!
It'll be refurbished next year now, it's at my mums safely (because I haven't told Amy I bought it yet, I'll sneak it in the shed somehow soon...)
