We started our mini meet this morning by going to the vacuum store that has a lot to offer around here, and found quite a bit of parts and a few machines! We also went to another vac shop in Niles. Kyle is good friends with the guy and he is very nice. We got a few machines there too. We also did a little bit of thrifting, so here is our finds so far:

American Lincoln by Kirby, complete Royal Power Tank, Dirt Devil Vax thing, complete Kenmore Power Handle, Singer R2D, Hoover Concept 1 (like new), Hoover Concept 2, brand new Eureka Boss ESP Self Propelled, and tons of miscellaneous parts!

The Concept 1 and 2 both came from Goodwill. The Concept 1 is in MINT condition, and was only $7. The Concept 2 was $15.

That Sure is an amazing haul there. Must be super sweeper week. My friend got another one from a store in Norfolk Nebraska.

Do share more pics! Wish I could be there for the fun.

We got a performance edition Rainbow SE hose, Dimension 1000 Electronic, Smart Vac hose and attachments, and some miscellaneous other stuff.

The Eureka Boss ESP Self Propelled. These are really hard to find, and this is BRAND NEW. The owner of the vac shop had it for sale in his store in the 90's for $269, it still has the original price tag on the handle, and then parted it out the bottom wheels and then put it in the basement. It has literally never been turned on until today. This is Davis'.

Today we went to a local flea market and came home with quite the haul! I got a Eureka Cordaway 2 Speed Canned Ham in the first 2 minutes of being there. The only attachments it has are the two wands and the curved wand. It is in amazing condition and will clean up so well. I also got a Rainbow E Series for $50! It has the dusting brush, crevice tool, and inflator/deflator tool. Obviously it has the hose and power nozzle too. This kind of sounds bearingy. I didn't until we got it home. So I plan on getting it fixed since I have wanted one for so long. I got it from the vacuum store in the flea market and the lady that runs it with her husband is seriously the nicest person I have EVER met.

Kyle got a Kenmore Heavy Duty Plus Extra Wide Sweep at that store for $15. It just needs cleaned.

Davis got a rare one I think... I saw a handle out of the corner of my eye and I didn't know what it was, so I looked at it and it was just a Dirt Devil Shampooer, but next to it, buried and backwards was a Eureka/Sanitaire handle! Davis came and pulled it out since he LOVES his F&G's. It turned out to be a white, BOL, Non Self Propelled Eureka Precision! It is all white and VERY basic. Together Davis and I own all of the Eureka Precisions. The red, white, and blue. Unfortunately there is literally nothing left of the fan, it is only about an inch in diameter. But the brushroll is really nice so he is going to get a new fan for it.

I am loving the Eurekas you guys found!!! That black Boss is really cool, but I am drooling over the all white Precision - love the design and the colour! That "FastVac" Empress II canister is beautiful - never saw it in that dusty blue colour which Eureka later used on the 1600 series Sweet Sixteens. I see the Fastvac has three suction control "radio station" buttons, so I'm going to take a guess that it is the middle of the line of the three model numbers Eureka had for this series (1880 = 6 buttons, 1860 = three buttons, 1840 = no buttons)....let me know if I am even close!

Guys it looks like you found some great machines.  Mini meets are so much fun.  Thanks for sharing with us.

and...

those are some awesome finds im glad you guys had such a great time. i wish more collectors lived near me (there is 1) so we could go on outings like that :)

It's still not over ;). Whenever Kyle comes over he stays for about a week and Davis only lives 15 minutes away so he just drives here. It really is a great time. We have a few more pictures of some things and some of what some of the vacuums look like after they have been cleaned.

Here is the Kenmore. It cleaned up REALLY nicely and literally looks and sounds brand new. These aren't too uncommon. I have 2 and I have seen very many, but they are never in nice shape. I have one like the black one you posted as well, except the switch is in the back of the handle.

Here is the Power Tank. This model has the Power Handle with the variable speed control and on/off switch. I now have 2 of those, and one with just the power nozzle switch in the handle. These are truly amazing vacuums and have such a long hose and cord. This one cleaned up pretty nicely.

Let me Know if your Coming to Ohio !

Michael
If you are ever coming to Ohio, let me know. I'm always up for a Mini Meet.
I personally do not have but 20 some vacs these days. But I know a lot of
the collectors in the area. As well as the vacuum shop owners, thirft stores
Just would have to be on a weekend, for the balance of this year. No time off
work left for me, due to my surgery and recovery time. Columbus, Akron, Cleve.
areas are all great places to travel to as well. There are a couple of good col-
lectors in Ashlyn, Mansfield area, and in Cuyhoga Falls.
My Friend Jeff near Mansfield has inherited another collection of Hoovers so he
has aprox. 120 or more now. So yes, there are lots of Hoovers, Kirbys and Luxs
in Ohio.
I still have a bunch of printed litature left over from the 70's and 80's which
will give you a good idea of the line up on the Vacuums that were current then.
Just let me know ahead of time !

I'm having tons of fun...

I finally found the machine that i have been after for a long time!
a Kenmore Heavy Duty Wide Sweep. This one is very nice and i didn't really have to do too much to it when i got it, which is a really nice thing. I got it at the flea market that Davis', Chase, and i went to, and they have a HUGE vacuum section, which is really nice. It has vacuums of all kinds, vintage to new Kirbys.

This Kenmore is amazing and was very worth the wait for how nice this one is.

More pics are to come!
