Just received a 1923 Hoover 541 upright in incredibly nice and original shape, right down to the original bag, plug, and cord. Works fine, but need a new belt, and brush worn, too, though can live with that. Anyone know where I can obtain a new belt to fit that model ? Any currently made Hoover belts work ? (it is a round belt that looks much like the ones used on the later Convertible models...). And any info on a better agitator brush would be appreciated. Thanks ! Also found a Hoover Constellation, model 84. with the wheeled floor nozzle in PERFECT shape, for a pittance at a thrift store, anyone know where can obtain a new brush strip and "litter-gitter" comb for the same ? The like-new Dial-A-Matic I glommed onto in "Persian Gold" is good to go as is...

The original belt was a 484.
I use a Hoover 44783, it's like the convertible 49258 but softer and stretches easier.
You can also use a Eureka RD belt, or if you want something different use a Koblenz U-310 belt (it's clear).
