Cardboard Attachment Carriers

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Threaded a noose of twine cord around the top edges, hidden inside the folds and glued up the box splits. The major splits and corners of the lower carton are reinforced behind with glued-in sheet burlap cheescloth. The mends are stronger than the cardboard now.

I've seen the caddies that Doug makes and they are super. From him I adopted the idea of making patterns on brown paper from any caddy I un-fold for repairs. Then they can be rolled up and stored for future caddy making. Some of the best corrugated cardboard unprinted stock can be had for free from any appliance store that has Fridges, washers and stoves.

Hey Brian:

We've had some very cold spells this year but not as bad as normal. It's been real nice the last two weeks (Just above zero) allowing about half the snow to slowly melt so far and actually soak in with minimum flooding.

As for my home made kits. Here a fair example of my work.

Hey there Dave...thanks for these wonderful posts....nice jo

So by the sounds of things, it seems that most cardboard attachment carriers came pre-assembled for the customer and shipped in another cardboard box.

So does this mean that our old Eureka 260 upright came with actually 3 boxes - one for the main motor unit, another for the one-piece metal handle, and another for the tools? Or did the motor and handle come assembled together and shipped in one tall box? Any ideas?

EP Brian
